Define the question
Agree a primary metric, baseline, meaningful change, sample requirements and evaluation window before launch.
Make the comparison fair
Use a concurrent randomized comparison where feasible. Keep audience, offer and measurement consistent, and include all assigned visitors.
Connect activity to business
Track starts and choices to diagnose the experience, then assess purchases, new customers, media cost and production cost.
Report the limitations
Show absolute results, denominators and dates. Explain attribution limits and confounders; label an inconclusive test honestly.
